Ongoing Website Support

I understand that while some clients love to roll up their sleeves and update their own website, there are others who prefer more ongoing assistance.  I offer several support packages to be sure everyone's needs are met.  In addition to Yearly Support Packages we will also look after your Website Hosting needs. 

Hosting Package

Many of my clients do not want to be bothered by having to stay on top of their hosting commitments. They prefer me to take care of this for them. I look after renewing your hosting and remind you as your renewal date approaches. All Website Hosting is secured with GoDaddy.

Yearly Support Packages

The yearly support packages provide you the opportunity to lock in support with Bright Lights Marketing at a guaranteed rate at premium turnaround time, ensuring your supporting software is current and secure. Determining the amount of support you require is based on your desire and aptitude to learn how to update your website and take over the content updates. You have 12 months to use the allocated hours outlined in the support packages. Any unused hours are lost and cannot be carried over or transferred to another year’s package.

What is support?

  • Answer questions about the maintenance or administration of components within your website
  • Administration of existing components to reflect updates in your business
  • Add or modify content (images, text)
  • Add or remove pages and/ or menu items
  • Does not include adding new functionality or features to your website
  • Does not include desktop or network or SEO support

In addition to support the following is also included in the each of the support packages

  • Update the supporting software to the most recent version to ensure your site takes advantage of the latest software features and security features. This includes:
    • Joomla software (backbone of your website software)
    • PHP ; scripting language used in your website ;
    • All components used in your website; developers will often release new versions offering new functionality and correcting any bugs
  • Quarterly backups ; once every 3 months a complete backup will be taken of your website  

Bronze Support

  • Up to 5 hours of support for 12 month

  • Premium response time ; (3 business days)
  • 4 website backups taken on a quarterly basis (every 3 months)
  • A minimum of 2 Software upgrades (Joomla, PHP, any affected components)
  • Additional support hours can be purchased as required at the Bronze Rate

Silver Support

  • Up to 10 hours of support for 12 month span

  • Premium response time ; (3 business days)
  • 4 website backups taken on a quarterly basis (every 3 months)
  • A minimum of 2 Software upgrades (Joomla, PHP, any affected components)
  • Additional support hours can be purchased as required at the Silver Rate

Gold Support

  • Up to 20 hours of of support for 12 month span

  • Premium response time ; (3 business days)
  • 4 website backups taken on a quarterly basis (every 3 months)
  • A minimum of 2 Software upgrades (Joomla, PHP, any affected components)
  • Additional support hours can be purchased   as required at the lowest, Gold Rate
